Pune: MLC Neelam Gorhe To Join Shivsena, Strengthens Eknath Shinde’s Shivsena

In a significant development in Maharashtra’s political landscape, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) and Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Neelam Gorhe, is set to join the Shivsena party led by Eknath Shinde in Mumbai today. Gorhe, who has remained loyal to Uddhav Thackeray after Eknath Shinde formed a separate group, has been one of the active women leaders of the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party.

According to reports, Neelam Gorhe, along with two other leaders, will officially join Shivsena today. Speculations about her joining the Eknath Shinde faction have been circulating since the Chief Minister visited her residence in Pune.

Earlier, another powerful woman leader of the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party, Manisha Kayande, had joined Eknath Shinde. With Neelam Gorhe’s entry into Shivsena, Eknath Shinde’s party will have the support of three MLCs and 40 MLAs in the state. This development comes at a time when news about Shivsena leaders planning to return to Uddhav Thackeray’s camp is also making rounds.

The political landscape in Maharashtra continues to witness shifts and realignments as leaders make strategic decisions to strengthen their positions and alliances. Neelam Gorhe’s decision to join Shivsena adds to the dynamics of the state’s political scenario and will undoubtedly have implications for future developments.
