Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 9 (UNI) : The activists of Maharashtra Youth Congress on Sunday staged a ‘rata roko’ agitation near Cidco bus stand here to protest against rising inflation in the state.
Led by Kunal Raut, president of Youth Congress Committee, the agitators, who wore garlands of green chillies and tomotoes, raised slogans against the government for surging prices of these necessary kitchen items in the state.
When they were trying to block the road, police intervened and detained them.
District Congress Committee president Dr Kalyan Kale, city president Sheikh Yusuf, city district Women’s wing president Ms Dipali Misal, Youth Congress president Sagar Nangre, and others participated in the agitation.
