BJP Gears Up for Lok Sabha Polls: Activates Booth Level Committees in Pune

As the Lok Sabha elections loom on the horizon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Pune is gearing up for an early start by activating booth level committees from the first week of February. Dheeraj Ghate, the city unit president, recently conducted a meeting with booth committee heads under the Pune Lok Sabha constituency, outlining strategies to mobilize the cadre and connect with every household.

During the meeting, Ghate emphasized the importance of reaching a target of more than 51 percent votes from each booth for the BJP candidate. The party has devised a comprehensive roadmap for achieving this goal and has communicated the plan to its workers. Each booth committee has been assigned an in-charge who will conduct visits every 15 days to ensure the effective implementation of the strategy.

“We have set the target to garner more than 51 per cent votes from each booth for the BJP candidate. The party has prepared a road map for this and communicated the same with workers,” said Ghate.

The booth workers are tasked with initiating interactions with influential individuals in each locality, sharing the achievements of the Centre and state government. Additionally, various committees for the Lok Sabha election have been appointed in accordance with instructions from BJP national president JP Nadda.

“As instructed by BJP national president JP Nadda, we have appointed various committees and started the preparation on the ground,” Ghate mentioned.

Despite the absence of a finalized candidate, the BJP has taken the lead in campaign preparations for the polls. Party leaders have already commenced various meetings as part of a public outreach program. Ghate noted that the early activation of the party’s cadre is in anticipation of the opposition parties lagging in their election preparations.
