Temperature Surge and Light Rainfall Forecast: Weather Update for North India

In its latest weather bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Delhi will experience a clear sky on Sunday, with morning mist enhancing the picturesque setting.

On Saturday, the national capital reported a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius, with the maximum reaching 23.6 degrees. However, a temperature rise of at least two notches is anticipated on Sunday.

According to the bulletin, parts of northwest, east, central, and west India are expected to witness an increase in minimum temperatures by 3-5 degrees over the next five days.

Apart from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the IMD has indicated that regions in Jharkhand and West Bengal may experience light rain from February 12 to 14.

The weather department has also foreseen light intensity thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on Sunday and Monday (February 12), with similar conditions expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal between February 13 and 14.

In the southern region, Telangana is likely to receive isolated rainfall on Sunday.

On Saturday, cold wave conditions persisted in parts of Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

The highest maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 38.1 degrees Celsius in Kannur, Kerala.
