Safety of High-Profile Officials Emphasized as Six Detained Near Amit Shah’s Residence

Delhi Police have detained six individuals who were attempting to reach the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Krishna Menon Marg. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, has raised questions about security around government officials’ residences in the city.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi), Pranab Tayal, stated that the police received a tip-off about a family making their way towards Krishna Menon Marg without the necessary permission. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the detained individuals used to operate street carts in the Anand Vihar area of Delhi and were aggrieved when their carts were removed.

Tayal commented, “The police team promptly responded to the alert and apprehended the family members while they were scouting the area, preventing any potential security breaches. Further legal action is being taken in this matter.” Sources also confirmed that the arrested individuals were disgruntled about their livelihoods being affected by the removal of their street carts in the Anand Vihar area.

Presently, the police are in the process of interrogating the detained individuals to determine the exact motive behind their unauthorized attempt to reach the Home Minister’s residence. DCP Tayal assured that all necessary legal procedures would be followed in accordance with the law.
