IndiGo Expands Horizon with Exciting New Domestic Routes for Summer Sojourns

In a bid to meet the rising demand for summer travel, IndiGo, one of India’s leading airlines, is set to roll out an array of new domestic routes starting March 31, 2024. This strategic expansion aims to provide more travel options and enhance connectivity across various states, fostering economic growth.

Reports indicate that the new routes include direct flights connecting Ahmedabad and Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Aurangabad, Bhopal and Lucknow, as well as Indore and Varanasi. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there, as IndiGo plans to launch direct flights between Kolkata and Srinagar and Kolkata and Jammu on April 10, 2024, and April 21, 2024, respectively. Additionally, flights between Kolkata and Jammu via Srinagar are scheduled to commence on April 10, 2024.

This move comes in response to the growing interest in air travel, with a recent report from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) forecasting a surge in air passenger traffic in India, projecting numbers to reach a staggering 860 million by 2030. IndiGo’s expansion not only introduces travelers to new destinations but also plays a pivotal role in propelling economic opportunities.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline’s eagerness, stating, “We are pleased to announce new routes to our forthcoming summer schedule, in response to the surging demand for travel. As the vacation season approaches, we endeavor to offer even more options to explore new destinations within India by IndiGo.”

Malhotra reassured travelers, saying, “We are confident that these routes will not only enhance access and travel experiences but also bolster economic ties across various states. IndiGo will continue to deliver on its promise of affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experience across an unparalleled network.”
