Central Railway Extends Special Trains to Address Passenger Surge in Pune

Additional Trips Announced for Key Routes to Accommodate Growing Demand

In response to escalating passenger demand, Central Railway’s Pune Division has taken proactive measures to extend the operations of several special trains. These extensions come as a relief to commuters and aim to alleviate the strain caused by increased travel requirements.

The decision to prolong the services of these special trains underscores the railway’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of passengers, particularly during periods of heightened demand. The extensions will provide additional options for travellers and facilitate smoother journeys across key routes.

Extension Details:

  1. Pune-Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus Daily Specials:
    • Train No. 01023 Pune-CSMT Kolhapur special and Train No. 01024 CSMT Kolhapur-Pune special will now operate until June 30, offering 91 additional trips each.
    • Train No. 01487 Pune-Harangul special and Train No. 01488 Harangul-Pune special will also continue their services until June 30, with 91 extra trips scheduled.
  2. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Solapur Weekly Specials:
    • Train No. 01435 Solapur-LTT special and Train No. 01436 LTT-Solapur special will now run until June 25 and June 26, respectively, providing 13 additional trips each.

It’s important to note that the timings, composition, and halts for these special trains remain unchanged. Passengers are encouraged to check detailed timings at stops through the official Indian Railways website or the NTES App.
