Canine Connection: Stray Dogs Meet Robot at IIT Kanpur’s Tech Fest

In a captivating event held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, stray dogs had an unexpected encounter with a robotic dog during the institute’s annual tech festival, Techkriti. The event, captured in a viral video, showcased the intriguing interaction between real and artificial canines.

The video, shared by Dr. Mukesh Bangar, CEO of Muks Robotics, portrayed a stray dog cautiously approaching the robotic dog created by his company. Equipped with advanced AI, the robot mimicked real dog behaviors, piquing the curiosity of the strays. As the real dog tentatively engaged with its robotic counterpart, other strays joined in, forming a circle around the duo to understand the newcomer.

The advancement of robotic technology has been remarkable in recent years, permeating various industries and reshaping our world. This encounter between stray and robotic dogs exemplifies the intersection of technology and reality, showcasing the strides made in robotics.

Techkriti, with its theme ‘The Cosmic Nexus’, hosted a variety of competitive events in robotics, software, entrepreneurship, and more. The 30th edition of Techkriti, held from March 14 to March 17, featured a video capturing the essence of these events.

The internet community was thrilled by the video, expressing astonishment at the seamless integration of technology and nature while commending India’s progress in robotics.
