This remarkable feat not only surpassed Gift Nifty’s previous single day trading turnover record of US $15.25 billion on September 26, 2023, but also exceeded its highest open interest of US $12.75 billion recorded just a day before on November 27, 2023. The dual milestone marks a significant moment in the evolution of Gift Nifty contracts, showcasing its growing influence in the financial market.
Since the full-scale operation commencement of GIFT Nifty on July 3, 2023, the platform has experienced exponential growth in trading turnover on NSE IX. Gift Nifty has witnessed a cumulative volume of over 7.87 million contracts, with a total cumulative turnover exceeding US $304.07 billion, further solidifying its position as a significant player in the Indian equity market.
