Effective immediately, individuals intending to rent cars or bikes must sign an undertaking prior to utilizing Goan roads. This initiative seeks to instill a sense of responsibility among renters, stressing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and practicing safe driving habits.
The undertaking mandates that renters pledge to abide by traffic laws, exercise caution while driving, and prioritize the safety of fellow road users. The implementation of this regulation comes in response to mounting concerns regarding the rising number of accidents on Goan roads, underscoring the necessity for stringent measures to deter reckless driving, particularly amidst the surge in tourists and locals availing rental services.
