FLY91 Launches New Routes Connecting Pune to Jalgaon, Boosting Regional Connectivity

FLY91 is set to significantly enhance regional connectivity by introducing new flight routes connecting Pune to Jalgaon. This new service will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, marking a notable advancement for both the airline and the residents of these cities.

Meeting with District Officials

In a recent meeting with Jalgaon district collector Ayush Prasad, FLY91 officials discussed the new routes and their potential benefits. The airline will utilize a 76-seater ATR aircraft for these routes, with operations contingent upon necessary permissions from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other relevant authorities.

Benefits for Jalgaon Residents

The introduction of air connectivity is especially advantageous for the residents of Jalgaon, including students. Currently, numerous buses operate daily between Pune and Jalgaon. However, the new flight route will offer a faster and more convenient travel option, reducing travel time significantly.

Current State of Jalgaon Airport

Presently, Jalgaon airport, managed by the Airport Authority of India (AAI), does not host any commercial flights. A previous attempt by a private airline to operate flights from Jalgaon to Mumbai and Pune in September 2019 ceased in April 2022 due to technical issues. FLY91’s initiative thus represents a renewed effort to establish reliable air connectivity from Jalgaon.

Economic and Regional Impact

The launch of these new routes is a welcome development for regional connectivity, providing residents with more travel options and potentially stimulating economic growth in the region. Enhanced connectivity is expected to foster business travel, tourism, and other economic activities between Pune and Jalgaon.

Keeping Informed

For further details and to check flight availability and schedules, passengers are encouraged to stay tuned to the FLY91 website. This new service underscores FLY91’s commitment to improving regional air travel and supporting the economic development of smaller cities.
