Fadnavis’s Indapur Visit Spurs Unity: Harshwardhan Patil Rallies Support for Sunetra Pawar

Deputy CM’s Strategic Move Sees BJP Backing NCP’s Mahayuti Candidate in Baramati Lok Sabha Race

Pune News: In a significant turn of events, the recent visit of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to Indapur has fostered unity within the Mahayuti alliance, prompting Harshwardhan Patil to rally his supporters and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers behind the candidacy of Sunetra Pawar, the Mahayuti candidate contesting from Baramati Lok Sabha constituency.

The Baramati contest has garnered attention due to the formidable presence of three-time MP Supriya Sule, daughter of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, who is facing a challenge from Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra.

Historically, Patil, Ajit Pawar, and NCP MLA Dattatray Bharne have been political adversaries for over two decades. However, Fadnavis’s strategic intervention aimed at consolidating alliance support has led to a call for unity in backing the Mahayuti candidate.

Fadnavis, who engaged in multiple meetings with Patil to secure alliance support for Sunetra Pawar, emphasized the importance of strengthening the Mahayuti alliance to bolster Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the pro-people policies of the Centre.

During his visit to Indapur, Fadnavis urged BJP workers to throw their weight behind the Mahayuti candidate, emphasizing the broader ideological alignment over individual political rivalries. He framed the Baramati contest as a battle between the policies of Prime Minister Modi and the opposition, rather than a mere clash between political dynasties.

Asserting his commitment to address the aspirations of party workers, Fadnavis reiterated his pledge to ensure equitable treatment and justice for all stakeholders in the region.
