Cirion and Qwilt Unite to Transform Content Delivery Landscape in Latin America

In a major move to enhance content delivery networks (CDN) in Latin America, Cirion Technologies and Qwilt have joined forces to offer more efficient and scalable services. The partnership, announced today, integrates Qwilt’s global delivery network with Cirion’s robust infrastructure, promising superior digital experiences for over 600 million consumers in the region, with a focus on high-quality live streaming, video-on-demand (VoD), and various media delivery options.

Meeting the Challenges of Digital Growth

The collaboration between Cirion Technologies and Qwilt addresses the increasing demands driven by the exponential growth of mobile users, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and cloud applications worldwide. The goal is to meet the evolving needs of consumers in Latin America by ensuring content reaches subscribers with superior quality, regardless of their location. This partnership is set to enable content and application publishers worldwide to deliver content locally, enhancing digital experiences across the region.

Alejandro Girardotti, Senior Director of Products, Innovation and Strategic Alliances at Cirion Technologies, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “With this agreement, Cirion and Qwilt’s combined CDN offerings are strengthened, meeting the needs of CDN customers in light of growing competition for Internet bandwidth.”

Cirion’s Infrastructure Capabilities

Cirion Technologies brings to the partnership a robust infrastructure that includes over 50,000 km of terrestrial long-haul and metropolitan fiber optics, 36,000 km of submarine cables, and 18 landing stations. This extensive network allows Cirion to operate scalable networks capable of adapting dynamically and in real-time to market demands without compromising Quality of Experience (QoE).

Alon Maor, CEO of Qwilt, emphasized the economic model for streaming delivery enabled by their all-edge architecture, where Cirion’s network infrastructure and CDN services play a central role.
