This innovation, currently applicable to RuPay credit cards from select banks, promises a surge in credit card usage, accompanied by enticing reward programs and quicker transactions. However, before you embark on this digital journey, it’s essential to understand the process of linking your credit card to UPI. Here’s a comprehensive step-by-step guide to help you seamlessly connect your credit card for convenient and swift UPI transactions.

How to Link Your Credit Card to UPI: A Step-by-Step Walkthrough As the UPI landscape evolves, linking your credit card to UPI becomes a game-changer. Follow these steps to connect your credit card to the BHIM app:

Step 1: Download the BHIM App Begin by downloading the BHIM app on your Android or iOS smartphone. Ensure you have the latest version for a smooth experience.

Step 2: Sign Up or Log In Create an account or log in to the BHIM app to access its features. If you’re a new user, complete the registration process.

Step 3: Navigate to ‘Bank Accounts’ On the app’s interface, locate and click on the ‘Bank Accounts’ section positioned at the top.

Step 4: Add a Credit Card Tap the plus button at the bottom right corner, initiating the process of adding a new account. From the options presented, choose “Credit Card.”

Step 5: Select Your Issuing Bank Specify the bank that issued your credit card from the list provided.

Step 6: Choose Your Credit Card The app will display eligible credit cards associated with the selected bank. Pick the desired credit card you intend to link.

Step 7: Enter Required Details Complete the process by entering the necessary details to add your credit card to the BHIM app.

Important Notes:

  • You can only add credit cards from specific banks like HDFC Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank, and others.
  • Set a 4-digit or 6-digit UPI PIN to secure your credit card transactions on the BHIM app.
  • Your credit card can be used exclusively for merchant payments, requiring a merchant’s QR code for transactions.
