Mirrors in the Master Bedroom

One of the primary guidelines of Vastu Shastra is to avoid placing mirrors in the master bedroom, especially if it is located in the south-west direction. Despite the convenience, having mirrors in this room can disrupt positive energy. If unavoidable, ensure the mirror is covered with a dark-colored cloth to mitigate any negative impact. This applies to dressing tables with mirrors as well.

Mirrors Facing the Bed

The dressing room is the most suitable place for mirrors. If your dressing room is attached to the master bedroom, position the mirror on the east or north-side wall, ideally 4 to 5 feet above the ground. Mirrors in east or north bedrooms are also favorable, but ensure they do not reflect the room’s entrance to avoid inviting negative energy.

In today’s tech-centric world, gadgets like laptops, computer screens, and televisions act as mirrors. These should be covered when not in use to prevent them from disturbing sleep patterns and causing insomnia. Such gadgets, if left uncovered, can reflect light and images, disrupting the room’s energy balance.

Designer Beds and Ceilings

Avoid designer beds with mirrors on the headrest, as these can cause anxiety, restlessness, and distress. Similarly, mirrors on the ceiling above the bed or sofa set can lead to a lack of peace and increased stress. It is best to steer clear of such designs to maintain a tranquil environment.

Mirrors in Children’s Rooms

In children’s rooms, mirrors should be used sparingly. They can be distracting, affecting a child’s concentration, studies, and health. Concealing or avoiding mirrors in kids’ rooms can prevent these issues.

Handling Broken Mirrors

Broken, unused, or rusted mirrors should be promptly removed, regardless of their location in the house. Such mirrors attract negative energy and can cause unnecessary problems.
