Pune Terror Case Update: ATS Retrieves Seized Vehicle and Uncovered Weapons

Pune, August 5th, 2023: The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has successfully confiscated a car that was used by the recently apprehended suspected terrorists in Pune. The vehicle, which the accused utilized for traveling within and outside the city, was seized from the Kondhwa area on Saturday. Additionally, the ATS investigation team discovered weapons within the car.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the ATS team had taken the arrested suspects, Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yunus Khan (23) and Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki (24), to Kondhwa for further inquiries. The initial arrests took place in Kothrud. The investigation unveiled that the suspects were allegedly involved in carrying out explosions in the forests of Pune, Satara, and Kolhapur. Their intentions included plotting to plant bombs.

In addition to the vehicle seizure and arrests, the investigation team managed to recover explosives and approximately 500 GB of data from the possession of the arrested individuals. The ongoing efforts of the ATS have led to the apprehension of three more suspects in connection with the case.
