Pune: In a shocking incident in Kothrud a 30-year-old man tried to rape a 4-year-old girl when she was playing outside her house. The accused took the victim under the bus and tried to rape her but due to screaming of a girl the accused was caught by the alert residents.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Chorge (30) a resident of Sagar Colony, Kothrud. The Kothrud Police have arrested him. The incident took place on Sunday morning between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM under a bus parked along the road near Shantiban Chowk.
According to the police, “The 4-year-old granddaughter of the complainant was playing outside the house. He came to Shantiban Chowk with his 4-year-old grandson. She was taken under the bus standing there. He made her lie down and tried to rape her. The little girl started crying loudly. The accused incident came to light when the passers-by heard the girl’s voice and bent down to look under the bus. People took him out from under the bus and handed him over to the police. Assistant Police Inspector Chavan is investigating the case.
