PUNE: A private money lender, whose money had not been returned by a man, raped his wife by threatening her husband with a knife. He shot the incident on his mobile. When she refused to meet his demands, he made the video viral on social media.
The Hadapsar police have arrested Imtiaz Hashim Shaikh (47), a resident of MHADA Colony, Hadapsar. A 34-year-old woman has lodged a complaint (1086/23) with the Hadapsar police. The incident had taken place in February 2023.
According to the police, the complainant’s husband had borrowed money from Imtiaz Shaikh and he could not return the money. Hence, Shaikh threatened to kill the complainant and her husband in February. Shaikh called the complainant and her husband to his house in Hadapsar. He threatened to kill her husband with a knife and raped her. Shaikh recorded the act on his mobile. Later, he started calling the complainant to his house frequently.
The complainant refused to go to her house. Shaikh made the video viral on social media. After the complainant came to know this, she approached the police and lodged a complaint. The police have arrested Shaikh and Sr PI Ravindra Shelke is probing the case.
