The Kondhwa Police have arrested 5 people as they attacked 2 people with sharp weapons & kicks and punches, seriously injuring both of them.
As per further information shared by Santosh Sonawane, Senior Police Inspector, Kondhwa Police Station, on 14/1/2024 at around 22:30 PM, at Samtanagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Pune, due to an old quarrel, some people came to kill the friend of the complainant Zainuddin Shaikh alias Kallu to settle the said quarrel. When the complainant intervened, a co-accused, who was acquainted with the complainant, and others, hit Kallu on the head and hand with a sharp weapon and seriously injured him.
All accused beat up the complainant & Kallu. Hence, a case has been registered under Sections 307, 326, 324, 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, 323, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as Section 37 (1) (3) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
In connection with the said crime, under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Santosh Sonwane, Police Inspector (Crime) Mansingh Patil, the officers of the investigation team were on the lookout for the accused.
On 9/2/2024, Police officers Satish Chavan and Vishal Memane received information through their network that the accused were hiding on a tree in a farm in Belapur, Taluka Akole, District Ahmednagar. Police Sub Inspector Balaji Digole, along with Satish Chavan, Vishal Memane and other officers from Kondhwa Police Station went to Belapur to search for the accused.
Accused Shehbaz Khan, Balaji Mangali, Suraj Sartape, Zubair Qureshi were found at the said place and they were arrested in the registered crime. When they were enquired about the other accused, Rocky Anthony, was arrested from his residence on 13/2/2024.
