Pune: Mundhwa Police Booked Two Individuals in Financial Embezzlement Case

Pune: Two people have defrauded a company by taking a purchase order for the supply of steel material and not providing them with the order. This incident took place from October 2022 to May 17, 2024, at ABIL Boulevard Company in Ghorpadi.

In this regard, Sridhar Mohan Dumale (56), a resident of Raikar Park, Sinhagad Road, Pune, has filed a complaint against two people at Mundhwa Police Station. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Chhaganlal Gulabchand Gundesha (60) and Niraj Chhaganlal Gundesha (31), both residents of Bhawani Peth, Pune, under IPC 406, 420, and 34.

The accused are authorised sellers of steel of various companies. According to the police complaint, the accused earned the trust of the plaintiff’s company and took the order to supply steel material to them at the site of the plaintiff’s company.

Accordingly, the accused took 62, 67, and 864 rupees from the plaintiff’s company. Out of this, the accused provided steel worth Rs 28,32,849 to the plaintiff’s company. However, the accused did not supply the remaining steel according to the order. The complaint mentioned that the accused used the remaining amount for their own profit and cheated the plaintiff’s company.

When the plaintiff demanded the money back from the accused, the accused had given him a check with their forged signatures. When the check was not encashed, the plaintiff immediately lodged a complaint against the accused at Mundhwa Police Station. Mundhwa Police are conducting further investigation into the case.
