Pune: A minor domestic help was forced to have sex. Consequently, she became pregnant and gave birth to a child. The incident took place in a housing society in Dombivli East in Mumbai in May 2023.
The 18-year-old victim, a resident of Kondhwa Khurd, lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station. The accused staying in the Vaman Vaze Heights in Dombivli East has been booked under sections 376, 506 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. According to the police, the victim’s father was working at the Vaman Vaze Heights at Manpada Circle, where the accused stays.
The victim was supporting her family by working as domestic help in the housing society. She knows the accused as she was working in his house. The victim had gone to the terrace to close the water supply in May 2023. The accused followed her. Then he forced her to have sex.
The accused threatened to kill her family members if she disclosed the incident to anyone. Meanwhile, she became pregnant and gave birth to a child. The Kondhwa Police have booked the accused after she lodged a complaint. The case has been transferred from the Dombivli Police to the Kondhwa Police.
