Pune Man Falls Victim to Cyber Scam, Loses Rs 94 Lakhs in Online Task Deception

In a distressing turn of events, a 34-year-old man from Pune has reportedly been duped of Rs 94 lakhs under the pretext of completing an online part-time job. The cyber police have swiftly responded to the complaint, registering an FIR and initiating an investigation into the intricate scam.

Harshal Shimpi, a resident of Shivar, detailed his ordeal in the complaint filed with the cyber police. He narrated how he was approached by cyber fraudsters who enticed him with an online part-time job, presenting a task for him to complete. Despite diligently fulfilling the assignment, Shimpi found himself without the promised compensation.

The fraudsters then escalated their deceptive tactics, coercing Shimpi to transfer a staggering sum of Rs 94,13,441 to various accounts using different mobile numbers and Telegram IDs. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the Pune Police have taken immediate action by registering an FIR, signaling the commencement of a thorough investigation.
