Pune: Man Arrested for Killing Friend with Cement Block in Moshi Over Wife’s Abuse

Pune: A 28-year-old man was murdered on a public road in Moshi Borhadewad on Friday night at around 10:45 p.m. The victim, identified as Ketan Nivrutti Kondhalkar, a resident of Pimprigaon, was killed by his friend Sandeep alias Dashrath Deshmane, aged 25, who is a resident of Keshavnagar, Kasarwadi.

The murder came to light when an unidentified body was discovered in the Moshi area. The MIDC Bhosari police, along with the anti-gang squad of Pimpri Chinchwad, began investigating the case. Through the analysis of Ketan’s mobile records, the police established that he had been in contact with Sandeep throughout the day.

Efforts to locate Sandeep initially proved unsuccessful, as he was not found at his residence. Further investigation revealed that he had gone to his girlfriend’s house in Thergaon. The police then set up a trap and successfully detained him in Thergaon.

During a thorough interrogation, Sandeep confessed to the crime, stating that he had killed Ketan out of anger because Ketan had abused his wife. Sandeep has since been handed over to the MIDC Bhosari police station for further legal proceedings.

This action was taken by the team of Anti-Gang Squad Sub-Inspector Harish Mane, Sub-Inspector Ashok Jagtap, Hazrat Pathan, Police Constable Praveen Tapkir, Sopan Thokal, Vikram Jagdale, Gangaram Chavan, Ganesh Medge, Vijay Gambhire, Sunil Chaudhary, Mayur Dalvi, Nitin Gengje, Sham Baba, Vijay Telewar, Shubham Kadam, Ramdas Mohite, Dnyaneshwar Giri, Tauseef Shaikh, Nagesh Mali of the Technical Analysis Department, and Popat Hulge under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Vishal Hire.
