Pune: FIR registered against journalist for making objectionable comments against Brahmin women

PUNE: An FIR has been registered against a journalist for making objectionable comments against Brahmin women while writing a post about atrocities committed on women in Manipur. The journalist has been identified as Mukesh Machkar. A 35-year-old woman, staying in Erandwane, has lodged a complaint at the Alankar police station.

According to the police, when the complainant was browsing through Facebook, she came across an objectionable post about Brahmin women by Mukesh Machkar. The police have registered an FIR against Machkar for his post which creates a divide between various religions, affects the unity and spreads hatred between various communities. PI Sangeeta Patil is carrying out a probe.
