Pimpri : The incidences of delinquency and loutishness are soaring day-by-day in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Few people are behaving recklessly in the city without caring about the law and order situation in the city.
Amidst these, one disturbing incident of hooliganism went viral on social media. In this video, two people, driving the bike in the opposite direction, chased one of the cars and assaulted its driver. In this case, the car driver recorded a video of this incident on his phone and asked for justice from Pimpri Chinchwad police, tagging this video to their social media handle.
The incident transpired on Thursday, January 18, near Tapkir Chowk in Pimpri Chinchwad at around 9.30 p.m. When the car driver overtook the accused’s bike on Thursday, the two accused chased the car driver and assaulted him on the road near Tapkir Chowk.
The plaintiff cleverly recorded the video of the two of them from his car and posted it on X. He tagged the video to Pimpri Chinchwad police’s social media account and asked the police about their accountability amidst the increasing incidences like these.
He wrote in his X post, “These abusive hooligans obstructed my car in the middle of traffic after coming from the wrong side without a helmet and without following any traffic rules. Can we expect some action against these culprits?”
Taking active note of this post, the Pimpri Chinchwad police swiftly apprehended both of the accused in the video. The police also informed that a case has been registered against the accused at the Wakad police station under appropriate sections of the IPC and Vehicle Act.
