Pune: A family was brutally beaten up by 21 people with sticks, iron rods and also kicks after they asked accused not to play DJ during the Ganesh procession in front of their house as the child had passed away in the family a few days ago. The accused Attacked the house. The incident took place on Monday, September 25 at 11 pm in Shinde Vasti of Somatne Phata. 21 people have been arrested in this case.
Sunil Prabhakar Shinde (38) a resident of Somatne Phata has filed a complaint at Talegaon dabhade police station. Accordingly, Sunil Banda Rajput (28), Mukesh Karsan Rajput (26), Ravi Karsan Rajput (30), Sunny Karsan Rajput (32), Praveen Karsan Rajput (30), Akshay Dnyaneshwar Kakade (28), Atul Velsi Rajput (21),Krishna Balbhim Kharate (23), Ravi Hira Rajput (28), Sandeep Ramesh Rajput (29), Vishal Kaluram Rajput (29), Santosh Kaluram Rajput (25), Vilas Hira Rajput (22), Anil Himmat Rajput (31), Karsan Jayanti Rajput (50), Deepak Himmat Rajput (32), Akash Ashok Rajput (21), Kaluram Bhika Rajput (55), Vasant Bhika Rajput (51), Amit Velsi Rajput (24) and Ramesh Jayanti Rajput (50, all resident of Shinde Vasti at Somatne Phata have been arrested.
According to the police, ” The complainant son had passed away a few days ago. Therefore, Shinde told the accused that ‘don’t play DJ in front of their house, go ahead and play’ during the Ganpati procession. The accused got angry and in a fit of rage they brutally beaten complainant Shinde, his brother Ganesh Shinde, mother Surekha Shinde, father Sadashiv Shinde, driver Janmraj Kamble and friend Kiran Yewle. The complainant has said that the house was attacked and they were seriously injured with the intention of killing.”
