Pune: Facebook account holder booked for posting objectionable content against Hindu gods, India

Pune: A case has been registered for hurting the sentiments by posting objectionable content about Hindu gods and India (Bharatmata) at the Vishrambaug Police Station. The accused has been identified as Jagadish Kabre, a residents of Sangli.

Sachit Shamdatta Erande (37) has lodged a complaint in this regard. According to the complainant, the accused opened FB accounts named Jet Jagadish, Jagadish Kabre and JK. He posted derogatory matter on these fake accounts about Hindu gods and goddesses, historical personalities, saints and India. This was allegedly done to drive a rift between two communities and to hurt religious sentiments.

The vishrambaug Police booked Jagadish Kabre under sections 295(a), 505 of the IPC and section 67(a) of the IT Act.

Senior PI Vitthal Dabade is investigating further.
