Pune: Action taken against gangster Omkar Kudle under MCOCA for creating terror in Kothrud

PUNE: Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar issued orders that action should be taken against criminal Omkar Kudle under MCOCA for creating terror in Shastri Nagar area in Kothrud. On orders issued by CP, action has been taken against 48 criminal gangs under MCOCA.

Kudle and his accomplices had terrorised local residents by brandishing a sword in a programme organised on the occasion of birth anniversary of poet and balladeer Annabhau Sathe. Kudle, who was absconding after the incident, had been arrested from Pavna Nagar in Maval area. Sr PI of Kothrud police station Hemant Patil and PSI Basavraj Mali had prepared a proposal about taking action against Kudle under MCOCA.

Accordingly, action has been taken against Omkar alias Aba Shankar Kudle (28), a resident of Kothrud, Ashok alias Ashutosh Babasaheb Kajalkar (25), a resident of Kothrud, Akshay alias Barkya Sunil Pawar (27), a resident of Bhugaon, Vyankatesh Haridas Ankushe (27), a resident of Warje, Mayur Shankar Yenpure, a resident of Bhugaon, Akash Deepak Loyre (23), a resident of Bhugaon, Omkar Raghunath Salvi (24), a resident of Kothrud, Ganesh Dattatreya Shinde (28), a resident of Kothrud. ACP Bhimrao Tele is carrying out further investigation.
