Pune: A police complaint has been filed against a person for deceitfully maintaining physical relations with the girl by cajoling her into a fake marriage promise and then cheating with her. In this regard, a 31-year-old woman living in Mohammed Wadi lodged a complaint at Wanwadi police station on Monday, February 26.
The accused individual is identified as Azim Munshi and is a resident of Tarwade Vasti, Hadapsar. As per the complaint, the given incident took place between July 2023 and September 2023 at the victim girl’s house in Mohammed Wadi and at the hotel where she was working.
The plaintiff girl resides in Mohammed Wadi and is working in a private hotel in the same area. As per the information, Munshi initially called the victim and trapped the girl in his love by speaking nicely to her. He then started regularly texting and helping her, due to which the girl fell in love with him.
Taking advantage of it, the accused falsely promised the girl marriage and sexually assaulted her in her house. The accused also had a physical relationship with the plaintiff at the hotel where she works.
However, when the girl asked him about marriage, the accused started giving vague answers. After realising that she had been cheated, the victim girl rushed to the Wanwadi police station and filed a complaint against the accused. Accordingly, police booked the accused under IPC 376 and 376 (N) and started an investigation into the case.
