Pune Youngman Detained by Lonikand Police Under POCSO for Sexual Assault of Minor Girl

Pune : A police complaint has been registered against one individual for sexually assaulting a minor girl by threatening to make her obscene photos viral on social media at Lonikand Police Station.

According to the female assistant police inspector Vijaya Vanjari, both, the accused, Abhi Dilip Kamble, age 20, a resident of Bakori village, and the victim girl are studying. The two people initially met on the Instagram app in the month of March. After that, both started talking to each other.

Taking advantage of that, the accused called the victim girl to meet him. Shockingly, when the victim went to meet her, the accused took obscene photos of her. After that, he forcibly raped the minor girl by threatening her to make those personal photos viral. After that, the accused forcibly had physical relations with her four to five times by threatening her.

On April 4, the accused forced the victim to sit in his Swift car and took her to an open ground at IT Park in the Kharadi area. The plaintiff further complained that the accused then again behaved indecently with her and further clicked her photos in an obscene situation. After that, the victim registered a case against the accused at Lonikand Police Station.

Accordingly, the police booked the accused under IPC 376, 376(2)(n), 363, 366-A, 354-A, and 506 and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. Further investigation into the case is being conducted by API Vijaya Vanjari.
