Pune: A woman from the Vadgaon Shri was subjected to sordid molestation for a trivial reason. In a minor altercation that arose when the victim woman’s husband requested the contractor to remove a concrete mixer adjacent to his house, the contractor and his worker assaulted the victim’s family and molested the woman by tearing her clothes.
This appalling incident took place on Sunday, December 3, at Vadgaon Sheri around 1 p.m. In this regard, the 44-year-old husband of the victim filed a complaint at the Chandannagar police station on Wednesday.
As per the police complaint, there is construction going on near the plaintiff’s house. On Sunday afternoon, when workers were engaging in the work, one of the workers parked the concrete mixer vehicle attached to the window of the plaintiff’s house. Therefore, the plaintiff went on to ask the contractor to take the vehicle aside.
Infuriated by this, the contractor started arguing with the plaintiff. Looking at it, the plaintiff’s mother interjected, hoping to settle the argument. However, in spite of calming down, the accused slapped plaintiff’s mother in the heated exchange and further fractured the finger of the plaintiff’s brother.
The complainant further mentioned in the FIR that the contractor and his worker further tore his wife’s clothes and molested her. Police promptly registered a complaint against a contractor, Kriralattin Chaudhary, and worker, Shashikant Katore, in this matter and booked them under IPC 354, 325, 323, 427, and 34. The police are conducting further investigation into it.
