Pune: In a shocking incident a 25-year-old woman miscarried her foetus after she was kicked by her neighbour and his father and mother on July 15. The incident took place at around 7 am over a petty issue of feeling water from the water tap first in the Wagholi area of Pune. The case has been registered against three persons at Lonikand police station.
As per the complaint from the 25-year-old woman the police have registered a case against the accused identified as Rohit Ravi Dhotre, Ravi Dhotre, and Shantabile Ravi Dhotre all residents of Gorevasti Gayran in Wagholi.
A police officer from Lonikand police station said, ” The complainant was filling water at the public tap near his house. While filling water Rohit Dhotre, her neighbor, moved the head of the complainant under the tap. The accused told him that he would first fill the water and started abusing the complainant. Accused father Ravi Dhotre and mother Shantabai Dhotre also came there and joined in abusing and beating the complainant . The complainant said that her number is first and she will fill the water. Rohit slapped him on the cheek and his parents also beat her. Rohit later hit her on her stomach and she fell down near the tap. Her stomach started paining so she went home and slept, but bleeding started from her private parts.She was admitted to Sassoon Hospital, where the doctor said that she had suffered a miscarriage. We have registered a case against the three and police sub-inspector Kolpe is investigating the case.”
