Pune: A 19-year-old woman from Wadki was attacked by her boyfriend on Saturday for stopping conversation with him. The incident took place in Hadapsar but the girl saved her life by screaming for help and meanwhile Hadapsar police came on the spot and arrested the boyfriend.
The boyfriend and accused has been identified as Azim Ayub Mulani (23) a resident of Wadki, Saswad Road. The victim has filed a complaint at the Hadapsar police station.
Jagtap, assistant police inspector, Hadapsar police station said, “The victim and the accused are known to each other and were talking to each other. For some reason the victim stopped talking to the accused. The accused used to give missed calls to the victim’s mother and brother from various mobile numbers without any reason. On Saturday while accused Azim came in his car the girl was going on a motorcycle with his uncle. He held the hand of the girl’s uncle and abused him and forced the girl into his car and took her to Amanora Mall where he threatened the girl that he would kill her.
