In a somber turn of events, a 52-year-old police sub-inspector was discovered dead on Saturday morning in Pune’s Koregaon Park area, sending shockwaves through the community. The deceased, identified as Dattatray Kurale, was found lying on the ground at lane number 7, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement authorities.
Kurale, who was attached to the Motor Transport (MT) department of the police force, was reportedly found unconscious by passersby, leading to a distress call to the control room. Upon arrival, a team of officers rushed to the scene, where Kurale was discovered, and promptly transported him to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, Kurale was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The circumstances surrounding Kurale’s demise remain shrouded in mystery, compelling the police to initiate a thorough investigation into the incident. At present, an accidental case has been registered at the Koregaon Park police station as authorities endeavor to unravel the truth behind the sub-inspector’s untimely death.
His body has been transferred to Sassoon General Hospital for post-mortem examination, a crucial step in determining the cause of death and shedding light on any potential foul play.
