PUNE: A gang of youths brutally assaulted a youth over an argument while playing football. The incident took place in Wanawadi and an FIR has been registered against seven people. The Wanawadi police have arrested three persons.
An FIR has been registered against Nihir Chandrakant Patel (32), Kishan Pandit Dalvi (28), Brian Alexander, all residents of Ghorpadi and four others. Sahil Sunil Sinha (31) has lodged a complaint at the Wanawadi police station.
According to the police, Sahil and the accused are known to each other. There was an argument between them while playing football. Nihir, Kishan and Brian and their accomplices came to Sahil’s society and abused Sahil and assaulted him.
When the society residents tried to intervene, the accused abused them and threatened them that if anyone comes to help Sahil, he will be killed. The accused terrorised the society’s residents and ran away. PSI Shitole is investigating the case.
