Social Media Circulates Disturbing Video as Police Launch Manhunt for Culprits
In a disturbing incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 16-year-old school boy was subjected to a brutal assault and humiliation in the riverbed area of Deccan Gymkhana, Pune. The harrowing ordeal, which saw the victim being stripped naked and beaten, has sparked outrage and renewed calls for swift justice.
According to reports, the incident unfolded following an altercation between the victim and Ansu Sharma, a 19-year-old resident of Mandai, along with four others. The altercation escalated, with Sharma allegedly holding the misguided belief that the victim had orchestrated an attack against him. In retaliation, Sharma and his associates forcibly took the 16-year-old to the riverbed, where they subjected him to a savage beating using a strap and bamboo.
Adding to the horror, the assailants recorded the assault on a mobile device and shamelessly shared the footage on social media platforms, exacerbating the trauma endured by the victim. In a further act of intimidation, the perpetrators threatened to publicly broadcast the video within their community if the victim dared to report the incident to the authorities.
The victim’s mother, distraught by her son’s ordeal, bravely filed a complaint with the Deccan police station, prompting swift action from law enforcement. However, the accused managed to evade capture, prompting an intensive manhunt by the Deccan Police to bring them to justice.
