Winter Whispers: Pune Gears Up as Minimum Temperatures Take a Dip Again

As winter’s cool embrace returns to Pune, residents are experiencing a gradual drop in minimum temperatures, ushering in the season of chilly mornings and cozy evenings. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts clear skies with a potential touch of morning fog in Pune and its surroundings.

Over the past three to four days, the typical minimum temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius has steadily decreased, bringing a noticeable reduction in warmth. The recent rainfall on 10th November provided a welcome reprieve from the lingering heat, signaling a transition into more comfortable weather.

Regional Chills: Pune’s Neighborhoods Experience Temperature Variations

The temperature variations across Pune’s neighborhoods paint a diverse picture. From the warmth of Wadgaonsheri at 22.2 degrees Celsius to the cooler climates of Narayangoan at 18.4 degrees Celsius, each locality has its unique thermal identity. This diversity adds a distinctive charm to Pune’s weather dynamics.

Temperature Trends: From Rainfall Relief to Anticipated Cool-Down

On Sunday, 12th November, Pune experienced a minimum temperature of 17.7 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 31.8 degrees Celsius. The ongoing rise in minimum temperature, currently reaching three degrees above the average, is expected to reverse with a forthcoming cool-down.

While sporadic showers graced the state due to conducive conditions, the cloudy and rainy weather is expected to retreat, making way for predominantly dry conditions. Meanwhile, the North Maharashtra region may witness a further drop in minimum temperature, with Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) recording the lowest temperature in the state on Sunday, 12th November, at 16.2 degrees Celsius.
