Pune Bus Accident: 10 Injured As PMPML Bus Plunges Into Ditch

In an unfortunate incident on Monday, a PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited) bus was involved in an accident due to a malfunction in its steering mechanism. The accident occurred in the Sanghavi Phata area along the Rahu-Wagholi road, resulting in injuries to ten passengers, including college students.

Many students and employees residing in Daund taluka rely on PMPML buses for their daily commute between Pune station and Pargaon. However, Monday morning took a tragic turn when the PMPML bus, while traveling on the Rahu-Wagholi road near Sanghavi Phata, experienced a malfunction in its steering column.

As a result of this mechanical failure, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and eventually land in a ditch. Among the injured individuals, several are reported to be college students, as confirmed by the Yavat police.

Authorities and emergency services swiftly responded to the accident scene to provide medical assistance to the injured passengers and to initiate efforts to extricate the bus from the ditch. Further investigations into the accident are expected to shed light on the exact circumstances leading to the steering malfunction.
