Poona Riverside Round Table India 105 (PRRT105) orchestrated a heartening initiative named “Flight of Fantasy” on February 25, 2024, aiming to provide a life-altering experience for nine underprivileged students from Zilla Parishad School of Purandar, Pune.
A Journey Beyond Boundaries: The initiative, led by PRRT105, unfolded as the deserving students embarked on their first-ever flight experience from Pune to Mumbai. The excitement and anticipation radiated from their faces as they soared through the skies, marking a memorable milestone in their lives.
Discovering Mumbai’s Marvels: Upon landing in Mumbai, the students were welcomed with warmth and taken on a guided tour of the city’s iconic landmarks. From the grandeur of the Gateway of India to the tranquility of Girgaon Chowpaty beach, each stop on the itinerary left the students in awe of Mumbai’s vibrant culture and rich heritage.
Sweet Moments by the Sea: A highlight of the trip was the visit to K. Rustom’s, where the students indulged in the famous kesar pista ice cream, savoring every moment of the sweet treat by the sea. They also had the privilege of witnessing prominent landmarks such as T2 Mumbai International Airport, Maharashtra Police Headquarters, and the historic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
Generosity Knows No Bounds: Accompanied by PRRT105 Chairman Paresh Lodha, the students were hosted with unparalleled generosity by Mumbai’s tables, including BRT2, BNRT 19, MMRT 200, and MBRT 313. These tables provided delicious meals, arranged local transportation, and sponsored recreational activities such as boating.
