Wagholi Residents Demand Accountability: Dr. Amol Kolhe Urged for Report on Constituency Work 2019-2024

Residents of Wagholi, a locality in Pune, have reached out to Dr. Amol Kolhe, the Member of Parliament representing the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency, seeking clarity on the progress of developmental works in their area spanning from 2019 to 2024.

In a formal letter addressed to Dr. Kolhe, residents commended his prowess as an actor and his widespread popularity throughout Maharashtra. They reminisced on the trust placed in him by the electorate, leading to his successful election as an MP in 2019. With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections looming, the residents expressed eager anticipation for a detailed account of Dr. Kolhe’s efforts.

The letter elucidated several pressing issues confronting Wagholi, including the chronic problems of water scarcity, inadequate roads, sewage management, and the overall dearth of essential infrastructure. Critically, residents lamented the perceived inefficiencies within various administrative bodies, including the police force, Municipal Corporation, and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA). Incidents of road accidents resulting in loss of lives and injuries further underscored the urgency of addressing these longstanding grievances.

Citing incomplete projects initiated between 2014 and 2019, particularly pertaining to drinking water supply and infrastructure development under the PMRDA, residents bemoaned the persistent neglect of Wagholi amidst purported advancements in other parts of Maharashtra.

Despite Dr. Kolhe’s impassioned speeches promising transformative change, residents expressed disillusionment at the apparent lack of tangible progress. They emphasized the palpable suffering endured by the community, further fueling their demand for transparency and accountability.

As the electoral season draws near, residents implored Dr. Kolhe to furnish comprehensive details regarding his contributions to Wagholi’s development during his tenure as an MP or from his previous term. The request stemmed from a desire to make well-informed decisions at the polls, underscoring the significance of transparent governance and public accountability.

Residents eagerly await Dr. Kolhe’s response, hopeful that he will promptly address their concerns and provide the requisite information to enable informed decision-making among Wagholi’s electorate.
