Pune: Man Vandalized with Machete for Refusing to Pay for Alcohol in Pimple Gurav

A disturbing and violent incident unfolded in Pimple Gurav on Friday, leaving a house vandalized and a man brutally attacked with a machete, all stemming from a dispute over payment for alcohol. According to the police, the accused had approached the victim, requesting money to purchase alcohol, but when the victim declined, the situation quickly escalated.

The accused responded to the rejection by subjecting the victim to verbal abuse and then resorting to physical violence. The victim, fearing for his safety, sought refuge in a bathroom, attempting to escape the attacker’s wrath. The incident has been reported to the authorities by Vinod Shivaji Jadhav, a 34-year-old resident of Pimple Gurav, who was the target of this violent attack.

Law enforcement swiftly initiated action against the accused, identified as Akshay Dashrath Shinde, a 23-year-old resident of Pimple Gurav. According to the police statement, the accused had initially approached the victim with a request for money to purchase alcohol. When the victim declined to comply with this request, it triggered a series of aggressive actions from the accused.

The Sangvi Police have officially registered a case in connection with this disturbing incident. As investigations are underway, the authorities are working diligently to uncover all details related to the altercation, including the events leading up to the attack, the extent of the damage caused to the victim and the property, and any potential witnesses or evidence that can shed light on the incident.

Acts of violence and aggression like this are deeply concerning and have no place in a peaceful society.
