A remarkable crackdown on human trafficking by the Anti Trafficking Cell of Pimpri Chinchwad has shed light on a sinister prostitution racket operating under the deceptive facade of an “Ayurveda Spa” nestled within the Vision One Mall in Wakad. This swift operation unfolded on the 11th of this month around 6:30 p.m.
The alleged exploitative establishment, going by the name “Raya Ayurveda Spa,” had been surreptitiously victimizing vulnerable women. A courageous female police officer lodged a complaint at the Wakad police station, launching the investigation.
Officials had received credible information hinting at the presence of an underground prostitution ring within the Vision One Mall’s premises. To validate these claims, a sting operation was meticulously organized within the clandestine confines of Raya Ayurveda Spa. Undercover officers posed as clients, and once suspicions were confirmed, the operation swung into action.
Among those apprehended by the police in connection to this heinous crime are Pradeep alias Janvi Shankar Jadhav, a spa manager from Wakad, and the spa’s owners, Prashant Ramchandra Sonwane from Chousala, Beed, and Sachin Ratan Kedari, also from Wakad. They stand accused of participating in the prostitution racket camouflaged as an Ayurveda Spa.
The investigations conducted so far have unearthed a troubling scheme. It appears that the accused had enticed vulnerable women with promises of financial rewards, only to ensnare them in the ruthless world of prostitution under the guise of offering spa services. This operation culminated in the heroic rescue of two women who had fallen prey to the clutches of these alleged criminals.
