‘Tumhare Siva Aur Koyi Nahi’ – A Group Dance Presentation of Basaveshwara’s 44 Vachanas

Pune, August 14: In a celebration of Kannada culture and heritage, the Dr Kalmadi Shamrao High School, Kannada Medium, is set to mark its Diamond Jubilee Year 1963-2023 with a special choreographed group dance titled ‘Tumhare Siva Aur Koyi Nahi.’

Scheduled for Saturday, August 19th, at 11 am, the event will take place at the Onimajalu Jagannath Shetty Auditorium, Bantara Bhavan, Baner. Admission to the program is free and open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.

The unique dance performance, ‘Tumhare Siva Aur Koyi Nahi,’ is part of the All India Vachana Sanskruthi Abhiyaan and will be presented by the Shri Shivakumar Kala Sangh, under the guidance and presence of Sri Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami, Pattadhyaksharu of Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Shakha Matha, Sanehalli. The esteemed event will be graced by Dharmaraj Kheny, an industrialist, as the Guest of Honor.

The event is being organized by the Kannada Sangha to celebrate its 60 years of contribution in the field of education. The Managing Committee of the Kannada Sangha, including President Mr. Kushal Hegde, Vice Presidents Indira Salian and Dr. Narayan Hegde, and other members, will be in attendance.

‘Tumhare Siva Aur Koyi Nahi’ is a captivating presentation of Basaveshwara’s 44 Vachanas, showcasing the rich literary and spiritual heritage of Kannada literature. The concept director of the project is Sri Sreenivas G. Kappanna, and the costume design, choreography, direction, and team leadership are helmed by Sneha Kappanna. The music for the performance is directed by C Ashwath, while Y.D. Badami oversees the lighting and tour coordination.

As Dr. Kalmadi Shamrao High School, Kannada Medium, embarks on its remarkable 60-year journey of providing school education in the Kannada language for immigrant children from Karnataka, the event will also be an occasion to felicitate retired Heads and teachers of the institute. Their significant contributions over the years towards this noble cause will be acknowledged and celebrated during the event.
