Pune, August 24, 2023: A tragic incident unfolded at Laxmi Chowk in Hinjawadi, resulting in the untimely death of a two-wheeler rider who was tragically struck by a speeding truck. The local authorities from the Hinjawadi police station wasted no time in taking swift action, promptly apprehending the truck driver responsible for the unfortunate accident. The incident occurred on a fateful Wednesday.
The individual in custody has been identified as Ranganath Rambhau Tambe, a 45-year-old resident of Bhiwandi. The complaint detailing the incident was filed by Sanjay Madhav Vadje, a 28-year-old resident of Akurdi, at the Hinjawadi police station. The victim of the heart-wrenching accident has been identified as Ramdas Vadje, aged 27.
According to the preliminary account provided by the police, the accused truck driver was reportedly operating the vehicle at a high rate of speed when it collided with the two-wheeler ridden by the brother of the complainant. The impact of the collision was devastating, leading to severe injuries sustained by Vadje. Tragically, despite efforts, Vadje succumbed to his injuries.
