Traffic Changes in Swargate: Pune Traffic Police Implement Altered Routes for Security

In an effort to uphold law and order and ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the city of Pune, the Pune Traffic Police have announced temporary changes in specific areas of Swargate. These alterations are aimed at addressing security concerns and preventing any disruptions to the regular traffic flow.

According to information shared by the Pune Traffic Police, the changes will be in effect on February 20 from 00:00 hours to 24:00 hours. The temporary modifications are as follows:

  1. Prohibition of Right Turn from Giridhan Bhawan Chowk and Left Turn from Vakhar Chowk:
    • Alternate Route: Commuters can take the route from Vakhar Chowk, passing through Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Bridge, directly proceeding from Dysplot, and reaching their desired destination through Seven Loves Chowk.
  2. Closure of Vijay Dhanya Bhandar (Late Badrinarayan Zawar Path) Service Road:
    • Alternate Route: Traffic from Vakhar Chowk can follow the route through Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Bridge, proceed directly from Dysplot, and reach their destination through Seven Loves Chowk.
  3. Prohibition of Access from Crescent High School to MSEB Office:
    • Alternate Route: Commuters should proceed straight on Maharshinagar Road from Suyog Central Building Chowk and then turn from Panchmi Chowk to Market Yard Chowk to reach their desired destination.

Additionally, between Wakhar Chowk and Giridhan Bhawan Chowk, vehicles will be granted double entry on the road as needed on February 20, 2024.

These temporary traffic changes are designed to enhance security measures and maintain the smooth functioning of vehicular movement during the specified period.
