Numerous tourists from Pune who had embarked on an expedition to Himachal Pradesh are now stranded in popular destinations such as Manali, Kullu, Kasol, and Mandi due to the relentless downpour. Viththal Banote, the head of the Disaster Management Department, has been actively providing updates on the locations and conditions of the stranded tourists. He highlighted a specific incident involving six tourists from Pimpri-Chinchwad who were trapped in Mandi after heavy rainfall rendered the roads impassable. The district administration, with the assistance of the families, established contact with nearby police stations, enabling the safe return of the stranded tourists.
The district administration, in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh government, is working diligently to ensure the well-being and safety of the stranded tourists. They assure the families that all necessary measures are being taken and there is no need for undue concern.
Among the stranded tourists are six individuals from a prominent company in Magarpatta City, Hadapsar. They are currently stranded in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, as the roads have become inaccessible due to the inclement weather. Efforts are underway to establish contact with them, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Pune District Collector, provided reassurance to the families, stating that information regarding the safety of their loved ones has reached the Himachal Pradesh government. The district administration is actively engaged in regular communication to resolve the situation and facilitate the safe return of the stranded tourists.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, in close collaboration with relevant authorities in the Himachal Pradesh government, is committed to resolving the situation swiftly. The Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi is also in constant communication, enabling the state government to secure suitable accommodations for the stranded tourists from Mumbai.
