Tennis Triumph: Nagaraj Wins 60-Plus Singles Title at MT ITF S400 Seniors


The MT ITF S400 Seniors tennis championships recently witnessed an impressive showdown as fifth-seeded Nagaraj Revanasiddaiah claimed victory in the 60-plus singles category. Hosted at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis courts and co-sponsored by Aryan Pumps, this tournament operated under the auspices of ITF, MSLTA, and PMDTA.

Title Victory

In a riveting finals match, Nagaraj Revanasiddaiah seized victory by upsetting the fourth-seeded Sanjai Kumar. Nagaraj took charge with a commanding 6-1, 3-0 lead before Sanjai Kumar retired from the match.

Doubles Glory

The tournament’s doubles events also brought forth exhilarating contests. Bhushan Akut and AJS Chatwal clinched a double crown by securing the doubles title in their respective categories. Notably, the unseeded duo of Chetan Desai and Mayur Vasant Manek delivered an unexpected upset, defeating the top-seeded pair of Raveen Chaudhary and Pawan Jain with a convincing score of 6-1, 6-2 in the Men’s 60-plus finals.

Honoring the Champions

The champions and runners-up received their well-deserved trophies at an award ceremony graced by notable figures. The awards were presented by Mr. Subash Sutar of Aryan Pumps, Mr. Ashwin Girme, Tennis Secretary of Deccan Gymkhana, Mr. Rama Rao Dosa, the tournament director, along with Supervisor Amit Deshpande in attendance.
