Swift Justice: Pune Police Solve Vijay Dhume Murder Case Within 36 Hours

In a remarkable display of investigative efficiency, the Pune City Police have successfully cracked the Vijay Dhume murder case within a mere 36-hour timeframe. The victim, Vijay Dhume, aged 44 and a resident of Chinchwad Village, tragically lost his life near Quality Inn Lodge on Sinhagad Road on the night of Saturday, September 29. In connection with this gruesome incident, the police have detained five individuals, including Dhume’s long-time girlfriend.

The detainees have been identified as Sujata Samir Dhamal, a resident of Kirkatwadi, Sandeep Dashrath Tupe (23), hailing from Rahu, Indapur, Sagar Sanjay Tupsunder (19), residing in Sahakarnagar, Prathamesh Ramdas Khandare (28), who lives in Undri Pisoli, and a minor accomplice.

To investigate this heinous crime, the Sinhagad police established two teams, relying on 60 to 70 pieces of CCTV footage to make critical identifications. Through technical analysis, the police successfully pinpointed the accused, with a shocking revelation that Dhume’s long-time girlfriend, Sujata, had conspired with her new boyfriend, Sandeep Dashrath Tupe, to execute the murder. Tupe is also facing several cases registered against him at police stations in Temburni, Indapur, and Hinjawadi.

Vijay Dhume, known to have connections within both the police force and various criminal circles in the city, had maintained a relationship with Sujata for over a decade. However, Sujata, who harbored ambitions of working as a bouncer, had met Tupe on Instagram a mere four months ago. Police investigations have unveiled that she plotted with Tupe to eliminate Dhume due to complications arising from her newfound relationship and ongoing issues with Dhume.

The accused are scheduled to appear in court for police custody proceedings on Monday, October 2nd. The successful resolution of this case was made possible by a dedicated team led by Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Nikam and comprised of Police Sub-Inspector Ganesh Mokashi, ASI Aba Utekar, as well as officers Satish Nagul, Sunil Chikhale, Sanjay Shinde, Deva Chavan, Amol Patil, Vikas Bandal, Vikas Pandule, Sagar Shedge, Avinash Kode, Rahul Olekar, Shivaji Kshirsagar, Swapnil Magar, and Daksh Patil.
