Pune, August 26, 2023: A tense situation unfolded near the K J College of Engineering and Management Research premises, situated close to Bopdev Ghat in Pune, as a bullet-like item was discovered on Saturday. The incident has triggered concern due to the proximity of the girls’ and boys’ hostels to the location where the suspicious object was found.
According to reports, an employee of a furniture company was in the area for a delivery when he stumbled upon the bullet-like item. In response to this discovery, local law enforcement was swiftly summoned to the scene. The situation warranted additional attention, prompting the involvement of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). However, even with the expertise of both teams, determining the authenticity of the item proved challenging. Consequently, the object was handed over to relevant authorities for thorough investigation.
The police are currently engaged in efforts to ascertain whether the item is indeed a bullet, or possibly a projectile from an air gun. Initial inquiries with the college administration revealed no reports of clashes or altercations within the college premises. Preliminary investigations by the police yielded no immediate signs of suspicion. However, law enforcement remains committed to a thorough examination in order to uncover any potential leads and gain a clearer understanding of the situation.
