Special Event: 350th Anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Coronation at Shivsrushti

Shivsrushti, the sprawling historical theme park in Narhe-Ambegaon dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is gearing up to commemorate the 350th anniversary of his coronation on June 20, 2024. This milestone event marks a significant occasion in Maharashtra’s history, symbolizing the establishment of Hindu Swarajya under the leadership of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the first Hindu emperor of the realm.

In honor of this historic event, Shivsrushti is offering all visitors a unique opportunity. On June 20, visitors who purchase one entry pass will receive a complimentary pass that can be used on any one day within the next 350 days following June 21, 2024. Programs and Celebrations

Vineet Kuber, Trustee of Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan, highlighted the diverse programs lined up for the day. The celebrations will commence at 9 am with State Minister Chandrakant Patil offering a floral tribute to Shivaji Maharaj’s portrait. Throughout the day, various dignitaries, including Madhavi Lata of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who contested the recent Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad, will visit Shivsrushti. Madhavi Lata’s visit is scheduled for 4 pm.

Cultural Offerings

A highlight of the day will be the special audio-visual presentation by Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare, renowned for his scholarly work on Shivaji Maharaj’s life and reign. This presentation, focusing on Shivrajyabhishek, will provide visitors with deep insights into the historical significance and grandeur of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation.
